A dear baby quilt made for my first baby before we welcomed her into the world.  The pink gingham is a nursery pillow-case and the denim, a favorite maternity shirt and pair of jeans.

Baby Oak Leaves - 40x40 Patchwork & Appliqué

For use as a functional play quilt or displayed as a wallhanging, denims, plaids and corduroy fabrics combine into a visual and tactile delight for a new baby’s developing senses.   Created in anticipation of our second child’s birth, the acorn and oak leaf motifs symbolize that great things often start from very small beginnings.   Welcome New Baby Hyatt!

Actual photos of a client’s two Jeeps come together with representative outdoor scenes to convey a love for their new son as big as their love for the great outdoors. 

Building upon fabrics left from his big sister’s quilt, Legacy Quilts was able to create a similar, yet distinct, quilt in honor of Kennan’s birth.

To Baby Lee- 38x38 QuiltBlock Party Kit^TM

with Handpainted Squares

Sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, grandparents and friends on all sides contributed to decorating this quilt celebrating the arrival of sweet “Baby Lee.”  Fabric paints, fabric markers, and decorative iron-on patches were used to adorn the squares before they were pieced together into a whole. 

What’s more, as Kalina made her entrance to the world before the quilt was finished, we included a central patch embroidered with her name and birth information.  Welcome, Baby Lee!

Cassatt's Family Constellation - 37x37 Patchwork

Utilizing fabrics from her maternal and paternal families all the way back to her great-grandparents, Cassatt’s quilt utilizes fun embroidered, painted and fabric motifs from sources as varied as its familial donors.

Denim and bed sheets came together in this casual floor throw, perfect for the pre-toddler phase of the very ‘cool’ Baby Saunders. 

This quilt, made for a friend's first baby, is pieced from two sets of curtains.  The grey fabric was hand-dyed to enhance the coloring and custom effect.

Utilizing scraps of fabric from a previous quilt project, these indivisual letters were made as a nursery adornment for a new family addition  - carrying the love and memories of a grandma she never knew, but who is always near in spirit.

Another in the series of  ‘Constellations’, this quilt incorporates many parental fabrics – a graduation robe, curtains, pillowcases and handkerchiefs.  A lively gift carrying many family memories for its young recipient.
